Cebu-based Filipino Homes intensified its campaign against scammers in buying real estate properties with the launching of their “Global Partners” facility in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The facility will help in particular Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) or Filipinos living abroad access to right information pertaining to property investments in the Philippines and other related assistance.

Filipino Homes founder Anthony Gerard Leuterio, said the opening Global Partners facility in UAE is just the first one, and other assistance facilities will be opened in other countries as well.

“This facility—Global Partners will support Filipino Homes plans to expand in many countries where there are Filipinos, and provide them physical access to sound advice and consultation pertaining to real estate investments and issues like scammers, and others,” Leuterio said in a statement sent to reporters.

The establishment of the Global Partners facility serves also as “eyes and ears” to spot illegal real estate-related dealings abroad, he added.

“Global Partners” will also work with reputable developer partners in the Philippines, ensuring the legitimacy of projects being sold and promoted abroad.

After Dubai, Leuterio said Filipino Homes aims to open at least four Global Partners facilities for 2024 such as Japan, Canada, United States, among others.

“The goal is to reach out to OFWs in each country and to help them from being victimized by scammers,” Leuterio added.

Global Partner facilities will also offer assistance for OFWs whose properties back home need leasing or rental deals.

“We give free consultation or advice to prospective buyers. We will also launch a regular talk show to provide an avenue for Filipinos abroad who may have concerns or questions about real estate investment, property management, and other related issues,” he said in a statement.

The “Usapang Real Estate” online talk show was also simultaneously launched in Dubai.

“In our sales mission trips abroad, we discovered that a lot of Filipinos are being scammed in their investments in properties in the Philippines. Global Partner offices’ purpose is to help them come up with the right decision in investing in properties, as well as protect them from being victimized by colorum developers and real estate agents,” Leuterio said.
