Emirates has announced it will resume passenger services to Cebu from August 20, with twice-weekly services utilizing a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and bringing its gateways in the Philippines to three.

Furthermore, the airline will resume services to Birmingham (September 1) and Houston (August 23). This will bring the airline’s network to 74 destinations, offering travelers convenient connections between the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Americas through its Dubai hub.

Once scheduled services resume to Cebu, Emirates would have returned to operating out of three gateways in the Philippines. Scheduled services to Clark resumed earlier this month while flights to Manila have returned to operation since 11 June.

“We are pleased to restart our operations to Cebu once again and resume our operations to all three points in the Philippines. This is a significant milestone in our recovery and we are delighted to be able to serve our customers across the country in an efficient manner, helping passengers to return home or connect to other destinations in our growing network. We would like to thank the authorities for making this possible and look forward to welcoming travellers onboard. With comprehensive safety measures in place, in the air and on the ground, Emirates is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of passengers, crew and our employees at every step of the journey,” said Satish Sethi, Country Manager for Emirates-Philippines.

The twice-weekly service between Cebu and Dubai will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays as flight EK2607/2608 until August 27. Starting from September 1 the flight will operate as EK338/339, on the same schedule.

Emirates’ flights on the Dubai-Birmingham route will operate four times a week, operated with a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, while flights between Dubai and Houston will operate three times a week utilizing a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft. The airline currently serves five gateways in the United States including New York JFK, Washington DC, Boston (15 August), Chicago and Los Angeles – expanding its U.S. network to six cities and offering 27 weekly flights to the country.
