DIY Workout to Get Rid of Arm Flab

on

We have heard so many people complain of saggy upper arms. We mostly suggest them to do some sets of pushups. However, there are so many other simple exercises for arms that you can do sitting comfortably in your office chair or on a mat. Sharing a set of such exercises with you, follow proper postural guidelines when you do them. These exercises will make sure to work out not only your arm muscles but also, your shoulder muscles.

Small Arm Circles: Sit in a cross legged position with your spine straightened and arms stretched out. Imagine that there was a wall coming close together to crush you.  Keep pushing them away from yourself by rotating your arms in circular motion. Do this without moving the other parts of your body.  Take deep breaths, do for few counts and then change directions.

Large Arm Circle: Remain in the same position and change the wrist position by pointing your palms downwards. Start rotating your arms in large circles in slow motion. Inhale through one half of the circle and exhale through the other half then change directions.

Up and Down: Hold your arms sideways, parallel to the ground and as you exhale start moving them up and down. Keep your shoulders relaxed through the entire motion. Repeat 10 times.

Front Arm Circles (Large and Small) – Stretch your arms in front of you so that they are parallel to the floor. Now rotate them in small and large circles 10 times each.

Pushing the Tree:  Remain seated in the same position. Incline your body forward. Move your arms upwards so that your palms are almost in line with the crown of your head, bend your elbows, bring your hands close to one another. Palms turned away from the body. Now imagine there is a rock in front of you, push it with all your strength. Keep your abs engaged. Let the strength come from your abs. Hold for few seconds, come back to starting position and repeat 10 times.

Hug a Tree: Stretch out your arms parallel to the floor. Inhale and slowly bring your arms together as if you were hugging the tree. The challenge is to maintain the hands at chest level while hugging. Repeat it 10 times.
