Dangers of Temptation

“The fruit looked so fresh and delicious…So she ate some.” Genesis 3:16

“I am not surprised! Even Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light, ” 2 Corinthians 11:14

Temptations are dangerous because they are from the Devil. Satan makes that which is sinful appear to be desirable and good that we almost believe that it’s true (yet not). He convinces us that what is false is true. He knows exactly how to confuse us. He knows well enough to know our weaknesses. In fact, he takes aim at the places where we are most vulnerable. Don’t let Satan trick us with lies. Let us arm ourselves with the truth God gives us in His Word.

“Temptation comes from the lure of our evil desires.” James 1:14

“Keep alert and pray. Otherwise temptation will overpower you. For though the spirit is willing enough, the body is weak!” Matthew 26:41
