The Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Tuesday kicks off the 2015 search for most outstanding government workers all over the country.

Proline Daclan, head public assistance division of CSC-7, said this search for officers and employees in the government service is a yearly activity of the state’s agency.

During the Association of Government Information Officers (AGIO) forum held at the CSC-7 office, Daclan said the search, which started in 1990, serves as a government’s barometer to prove that in a certain government office, there are people with performances worthy to be a good example to all others in government service.

In line with this program, Daclan is inviting all national and local government offices to join the search by making recommendations to anybody from among their workers whose performances are worthy to be honored.

But she said that every recommendee shall pass the regional search level prior to their selection to the national level.

All regional awardees are also entitled to receive cash prizes from the CSC regional office, and the winners of the national level, their cash prizes and plaques will be given by the President of the Philippines during a fitting ceremony at Malacanañg.

Yesterday’s launching was also timely for the holding of the first time assembly for all CSC awardees from 1990 to 2014.

Daclan said among the 22 regional awardees for the period, only 9 of them were present, while 2 were already dead.

Of the 9 awardees, 6 were Lingkod Bayan awardees, 2 Dangal ng Bayan awardees, while 1 was a lone Pag-asa awardee.
