CenVis to Get Additional Classrooms, Teachers

To further boost public education, the Department of Education (DepEd) 7 has assured additional classrooms and teachers all over Central Visayas (CenVis).

DepEd-7 acting regional director Carmelita Dulangon said the Department of Public Works and Highways has already started constructing the new classrooms, and at least 80 have been completed as of March 31. Dulangon said they are targeting 602 classrooms for 2013 in the whole region, in which Cebu province will get 190 of these while 131 for Cebu City.

Dulangon also said that 5,653 new teacher items will be available for school year 2013-2014, for kindergarten to secondary levels.
