Cebuano Hiphop, Rap Artists Stage in “Rapollo : Komunidad’

Hiphop in Cebu has been slowly climbing up a notch despite the countless house and techno tracks in the city. The “Rapollo:Komunidad” event last September 21, kicked off this milestone among Cebuano rappers, beatboxers and grafitti artists. Street and urban culture has been reignited during the fest. Different Cebuano talents gathered to join and witness the event at Oli’s Grill in Kasuntingan, Mandaue City.

Different performers like El Mobstah/Green Thumbs, Crackboyz, Ubecz Insane, Calle Fuerte, Wangkang, Cebu Elite Beatboxers United, 032 Souldierz, King Cobras, Disciples of Ubec, Nevanevaland and GnB were there to entertain the crowd. Rap battles were also part of the program. Known rappers like Zeus, Humpfrey, ALX, CORONA, Makki, Mr. Fongger, FANGS and Raizen hyped up the event. Thanks to the Rapollo Event, beatboxers Trouble H, Reboot, Jed X Quence and Niel X Glendel were also given an opportunity to drop sick beats. Rap and beatbox battles were not the only things in store during the night. Customized BMX Bikes were also showcased as well as grafitti designs by artists Skunk from UBEC Crew and Bruk from Daue Crew.

“Rapollo : Komunidad” was organized by fellow Sugbuanon rappers namely Michael Palaubsanun a.k.a T.Drop, Clint Castaneda a.k.a Tata, John Leo Pornea a.k.a JL, Robby Ouano a.k.a Robstylez, Trann Real a.k.a T-Real, Carl Vincent Cang a.k.a Shoot-T, Erni Joe Valdez, Raj Muana and Joed Gonzales. The Rapollo : Komunidad event wouldn’t be made possible without sponsors Ann Savage Tattoo, Oli’s Grill, Cerdo Clothing, Versacool, Anton Audio and Atty. Roberto R. Palmares.

The event was organized in order to encourage young Cebuano talents to pursue their big dreams in the world of Hiphop and urban/street art.
