Cebu Province Welcomes Thai Royalty

Her Royal Highness, Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana, daughter of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn of the Royal Thai government, recently paid a 5-day visit to Cebu last week.

Vice Governor Agnes Magpale assisted by Protocol and Events Officer, Mary Grace Paulino, led the simple welcome ceremony of the Thai princess’ private entourage that includes Thailand Ambassador to the Philippines, his Excellency Thanatip Upatising and his wife Madame Monthip Upatising, at the Mactan-Benito Ebuen Air Base.

Governor Hilario P. Davide III, Magpale and the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan joined the Royal Highness for a dinner at the Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort in Mactan.

During the dinner Davide and Magpale presented Argao town’s famous Hablon a (locally weaved textile) as a gift to her Royal Highness. (Francis Torralba)
