Cebu City Acquires New Weighbridge

Cebu City government inaugurated the newly acquired weighbridge at the Inayawan Sanitary Landfill on June 19, 2018. The weighbridge will help in monitoring the garbage being collected.

Cebu City Councilor Margarita V. Osmeña and Committee on Public Services Chair Eugenio F. Gabuya Jr. led the inauguration and blessing of the newly acquired weighbridge.

The Cebu City government has been paying private providers P1,248.00 per ton of garbage. Now with the new weighbridge this will help the city save money, giving more accurate measurement of the volume of garbage. The newly acquired weighbridge will be operational 24/7.

The inauguration was attended by Dept. of Public Services (DPS) head Engr. Roberto Cabarrubias and Executive Assistant to the Mayor for Special Projects Randy Navarro.
