The Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) was officially opened last April 30 at 5:08 pm.

“We are happy and excited to finally welcome motorists to CCLEX, the new icon of Cebu,” said Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) President and General Manager Allan G. Alfon.

CCLEX is open for motorists 24/7.

Although CCLEX is officially opened, motorcycles, bikers, and pedestrians are not allowed to pass on the expressway until June 2022.

CCLEX also reminds the public to not stop at any areas in the expressway. CCLEX received reports of motorists stopping at emergency laybys to take pictures of the expressway.

“Do not stop at any point on the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway. The CCLEX has five laybys or widening by the side of the main road serve as provisional parking areas during emergencies,” the CCLEX Facebook post reads.

A 60kph speed limit is being implemented at CCLEX during initial operations.

Moreover, cash payments will be accepted at this time.

“Cash payments will be accepted in the meantime and motorists are advised to prepare the exact toll fare,” CCLEX said in a Facebook post. (ASC)
