CCCI Holds Economic Forum

In line with the Cebu Business Month celebration, the Cebu Chamber of  Commerce and Industry (CCCI) held an Enonomic Forum with the theme  “Impact of Investment Grade on the Local Economy”, last June 11 at the  Diamond Suites and Residences. Friends and partners from the business  and banking industries attended the event.

Speakers from Manila namely Patrick Ella, senior manager/ resident  economist of Security Bank Corp., Robin Calang, senior manager/senior  corporate sales officer of FX & Rates Hedging Division, Treasury Group  of Security Bank Corp., Rafael Ayuste, Jr., first senior vice  president, Trust officer and head of Trust Banking Group of Philippine  National Bank, and Atty. Roel Arco Refran, chief operating officer at  the Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. spoke with various topics during  the event.

Ella focused more on the “Impact of Investment Grade in our Local  Economy”, while Galang spoke about “Treasury Products,Hedging  Opportunities”. Ayuste discussed about “What is Investment Grade to  the Savings and Investments of Juan de la Cruz” and Refran on “The  Philippine Stock Market: Capitalizing on the Investment Grade Rating”.

The forum was wrapped up by a panel discussion and social networking  among guests and participants.
