Capitol to Help 3-year-old Rape Victim

Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale has assured that the Provincial Capitol will extend help to the family of the 3-year-old rape victim in Cordova.

“Wap-a na sa amo. We are networking, we respect asa i-refer ang kaso. But we are willing to help para daghan mo-prepare sa affidavit. Whatever assistance they will want from us we are willing to help,” said Magpale.

The vice governor, who heads the Council on the Protection on Child and Women, said she does not want a repeat of the Ella Joy Pique case, wherein it was junked by the court later on. Ella Joy was a six-year-old child who was kidnapped and killed in 2011. The case was dismissed by the regional trial court for lack of evidence last week.
