Bulacaonons Enjoy Free Services

“Nindot ni ang programa ni Mayor Mike Rama kay aron matubag among mga problema dinhi sa among barangay ug matabangan ang mga katawhan labi na ang mga kabos,” said Lucia Lantape, 56, who is among the hundreds of residents of Barangay Bulacao who availed of the free services through the City Hall at Your Doorstep today January 29, 2016 Friday.

In an interview with the BARUGG News, Lantape who availed of the medical consultation due to her high blood pressure shared that the activity is of great help to the Cebuanos to save money, time and effort in going to the different offices in Cebu City Hall just to avail their services.

For Jesus Lavandero, 53, who also availed of the medical consultation along with his grandson, he shared that, “Nagpasalamat mi nga natabangan, maayo ni kay ang gobiyerno nagpakabana alang sa mga konstituwente ug angay gyod ni ipadayon aron mas daghan pang matabangan.”

Meanwhile, the free services included Medical and Dental Services; Birth, Marriage and Death certificates consultation and processing; Legal Consultation; Real Property Consultation; Repair and Installation of Street Lights and Artesian Wells; Cedula issuance; Seedling distribution; Pet registration and vaccination; Job placementt referral; Free hair-cutting; Drainage and Road Maintenance; Traffic issues and Concerns consultation; Blood typing, blood sugar testing, and internal medicine distribution; Mass Feeding; Cutting and trimming of trees; Urban Poor Related issues consultation; Seminar and orientation on drug related issues; fire prevention and Information dissemination, among several others.

The City Hall at Your Doorstep is an initiative of Mayor Rama which he started in the year 2010. It aims to bring the services from the 22 Departments comprising the Cebu City Government closer to the people and avail it for free without going to the City Hall.

Bulacao village officials and workers headed by Captain Rodrigo D. Jabellana also showed their support to the activity.

The village chief also thanked Mayor Rama for the services rendered to his constituents and to all projects poured in their barangay such as road concreting, new Sports Complex and another 10 Million worth of projects.

The city’s frontline services was conducted in Barangay Bulacao for sixth time now since it started its operations in 2010.

Bulacao is one of the eighty villages comprising this city. It has more than 15 thousand residents living in its 29 Sitios. It is situated in the South District of the city and about 30 minutes away from the Cebu City Hall.
