Biz Group Pushes RT-PCR Test Exemption to Full Vaxxed Local Tourists

Business groups push the exemption of fully vaccinated local tourists from the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test for COVID-19.

Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion said that business groups are in dialog with the local government units in Aklan, Bohol, Cebu, Palawan, Siargao, and the other top tourist destinations in the country to exempt fully vaccinated individuals from presenting a negative RT-PCR result on arrival.

Concepcion also said that the airline sector requested this to ease the expenses for local tourists as the RT-PCR test could be expensive.

Concepcion added that the request is receiving positive responses from the LGUs concerned. (ASC)
