Bb. Pilipinas Gold Winners Revealed

Laguna’s pride, Arielle Arida was crowned Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2013 during the culmination of the 50th year of Binibining Pilipinas last night at the Araneta Coliseum. She will represent the country to this year’s Ms. Universe pageant.

Arida, a UP Los Baños B.S. Chemistry graduate who loves sports and the beach, bags the award Best in Swimsuit.

Meanwhile, Bea Santiago, a woman who loves to travel, named as Bb. Pilipinas-International. She got also the award Bb. Avon.

Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism title was given to Joanna Cindy Miranda of Nueva Ecija. She was also declared as Bb. Petron and the winner of Cream Silk Beyond Beautiful Woman Award.

Johanna Datul of Isabela brought home the title Bb. Pilipinas -Supranational. Bb. Photogenic and Best in Evening Gown awards were also given to her.

A member of ABS-CBN’s Star Magic, Pia Wurtsbach was named first runner-up. She came from the city of golden friendship, Cagayan de Oro.

Bb. Pilipinas 2012 winners Janine Tugonon, Nicole Schmitz, Katrina Jayne Dimaranan did the turn-over of their crowns to their respective successors.

Other special awards went Grace Rementilo (Bb. Friendship); Anna Carmela Aquino (Bb. Talent); Alaine Baccay (Best in National Costume); Ellore Noelle Punzalan (Manila Bulletin Readers’ Choice Award); Pia Wurtzbach (San Mig Zero Award); Imelda Scheweighart (Bb. PAGCOR 2013); and Nicole Kim Donesa, (Bb. PAL 2013).

Top 15 candidates were Grace Yann Apuad, Maria Angelica de Leon, Charmaine Elima, Rhea Nakpil, Amanda Noelle Navasero, Camille Carla Nazar, Ellore Noelle Punzalan, Imelda Schweighart, Merry Joyce Respicio, and Parul Shah.

Martin Nievera and Dawn Zulueta hosted the event.

Judges of the pageant were Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Cabinet Secretary of the Philippines Rene Almendras, ABS-CBN Chairman Gabby Lopez, Chilean Ambassador Roberto Mayorga, Italian Ambassador Massimo Roscigno, Boy Abunda, Hirofumi Hashimoto, Louis Ng of Macau, Philippine National Police Director General Allan Purisima, James Younghusband, and Liliana Marquez Zawadsky.
