Battling Struggles

“Jesus was led out into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tempted there by the Devil.” Matthew 4:1

The Bible clearly teaches that human beings are involved in a daily battle in life -struggles.

Christians refer to this as ‘spiritual warfare’ or the fighting against ‘spiritual forces’ (which do really exist). Far from excluding each of us, it is faith that puts us right in the middle of a spiritual battle for our very souls. We must recognize that and arm ourselves, or we will be defeated.

“We are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.” Ephesians 6:12-13
