Arterra Residences Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony

Sta. Lucia Land, Inc.’s newest residential development, Arterra Residences at Discovery Bay, held its groundbreaking ceremony last Saturday, February 1, 2014.

Situated at the tip most part of Mactan Island, Arterra Residences is a 20-storey high condotel with a total of 288 units. Its name stands for “The Art of the Earth” which is derived from the elements of the air, wind, and the natural terrain in the island.

Sta. Lucia Land, Inc. Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President Leizel Tuason-Magpoc, who has more than 20 years of experience in real estate shared that “Sta. Lucia is the very first developer in the Philippines to offer the condotel concept.”

“When we thought of the condotel concept, we patterned it after the time sharing concept. However, we upgraded in such a way that there is real partnership of a property,” Magpoc added.

A group of parachutists landed simultaneously on the ceremonial grounds bearing Arterra and Sta. Lucia’s banners, and the time capsule, signaling the start of the ceremonial digging while the Cebu Eastern College students performed the Dragon and Lion Dance in celebration in time for the Chinese New Year.

Occupying a 10 hectare property in one of this island’s scenic hideaways, Arterra Residences will offer a wide range of world class features and amenities such as a swimming pool with jacuzzi, lap pool, children’s pool, and poolside bar; basketball court; badminton court; fitness gym; game room and card room; health spa; function rooms; business center; coffee shop and restaurant; professional shop; boat dock and other water sports facilities.

The condotel will be completed in the last quarter of 2016, and its turnover and operation date is scheduled in the first quarter of 2017.
