State weather agency said light to moderate rain brought by the inter-tropical convergence zone may occur over parts of Mindanao on Thursday.

PAGASA, in its 5 a.m. bulletin, said the ITCZ is affecting Mindanao, even as the Northeast Monsoon is affecting northern Luzon.

PAGASA added that Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao region will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms. It added that residents of Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera and Ilocos may expect partly cloudy skies with isolated light rain.

PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds from the northeast will prevail over Eastern Visayas and northern and eastern sections of Luzon, and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough, PAGASA said.

In some parts of the country, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to east with slight to moderate seas.
