Accenture has been recognized as the Best Employer of the Year in the Philippines at the recent International Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Awards Philippines 2017.

This is the company’s second time winning this award, reinforcing Accenture’s leadership position in the local information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) industry and its commitment to the professional and personal growth of its more than 45,000 employees in the country.

Now in its 11th year, the International ICT Awards are organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines in association with the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines. The Awards acknowledge individuals and organizations that have exhibited leadership and excellence in the ICT industry in the Philippines. The Best Employer of the Year award is bestowed to the company that has showcased leadership in elevating employee potential and success by institutionalizing a talent-led approach that paves the way forward to a more diverse, inclusive, and future-ready workforce.

Lito Tayag, Accenture’s country managing director in the Philippines, said, “We are honored to be named anew as the Best Employer of the Year in the Philippine IT-BPM industry. We thank the International ICT Awards Philippines 2017 for recognizing our truly human approach in attracting, developing, engaging, retaining and inspiring the top Filipino talent. Accenture has and will continue to develop and upskill our more than 45,000 people in the country in order for them to deliver innovative services to our clients in this digital age. Moreover, we are committed to empowering them to pursue their passions and use their skills to contribute to society in ways that are genuinely meaningful and improve the way we work and live.”

According to Mr. Tayag, the award is also an affirmation of Accenture’s efforts to become the most inclusive and diverse employer. True to having diversity at its core, the company employs about the same percentage of men and women across all levels in its Philippines workforce. It also has an active LGBT network through its FLAG (Friends, Lesbians and Gays) employee organization as well as a community of differently abled individuals who contribute significantly to the Accenture’s growth and success in the Philippines.

Accenture first received the International ICT Awards Philippines’ Best Employer of the Year award in 2008. The company was also a runner-up in the same category in 2014. In addition, Accenture ranked No. 3 and was the only IT-BPM company included in this year’s “Top 10 Most Aspired Companies Filipinos Would Like to Work For” by JobStreet.com Philippines.
