AboitizLand Launches First Solar-Powered Homes

Published

on

The country’s most trusted Cebuano real estate developer, AboitizLand, has launched the first solar-powered residential community in Cebu–Almiya. The “SHINEON ALMIYA” solar panel system of AboitizLand aims to cut costs in electricity bills of residents while promoting a cleaner, greener environment.

During its press conference last March 7, at their sales office in SM City Cebu, AboitizLand Assistant Vice President for Sales and Marketing Audie Villa said that they partnered with the world’s reliable name in solar energy industry, Enfinity, to provide and install the solar panels in the homes of the Almiya residents. Enfinity is one of the top 10 developers of solar energy in the world. It has good, quality solar panels that last the whole lifetime as is expected.

Almiya’s solar panel system is an add-on feature with an add-on cost for a brand new Almiya home. It is an excellent investment because it can generate as much as savings as an average of P600 per month based on average energy consumption in every 0.5 kilowatt solar panel. Having a solar panel system protects the homeowners against rising energy costs and likewise increases the value of the home having the unique feature, should the owner resells his house. Above all, the solar panel system reduces carbon footprints saving over a tonne of carbon dioxide every year–that’s more that 30 tonnes of over a lifetime of the solar panel system.

The solar panel system is installed for free, and harnesses the sun’s energy and turns it into free, green electricity. They are installed in a southerly facing direction and convert the sun’s energy into direct current (DC) electricity. The DC is then carried through wiring to an inverter where it is converted into alternating current (AC) electricity. A generation meter is installed which records the total amount of electricity that the panels produce, then the solar energy is then used to power the lighting and appliances.

Almiya community is located in Canduman, Mandaue City. It has turned over 80 units from its first phase, while development of phase two is currently ongoing with 150 units to be built. Launched last year, Almiya offers well-designed and fully detailed house and lots namely Vera for single detached home, Amani and Venya for duplex. The residential units of Almiya are masterfully engineered with generous roof overhangs keeping out the tropical sun and heat and excellent cross-ventilation for cool indoor spaces. Among its amenities are 24/7 security, swimming pool, clubhouse, landscaped parks with benches and multi-purpose court. It is dubbed as the “The Complete Community in the North”.
