A Future with God

What other promises has God made about my future with Him?

“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him,” 1 John 3:2

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4

If you are a child of God (one who has received and believed the Lord Jesus Christ only as Lord and Savior), you will one day be like Christ. Sounds like a blasphemy? No, actually. This means that you will not be equal to Him in power and authority of course, but you will be like Him in character and perfection for there will be no more sin in those God welcomes into heaven. You will never be in pain or experience sorrow, and evil will be gone forever!

“The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.” Revelation 11:15
