HTC has unveiled the HTC One Mini, the smaller version of its leading Android handset – HTC One.

The Mini sports a 4.3-inch screen with 720p resolution and Android 4.2.2 out of the box, running Sense 5.0. It features the same excellent 4MP UltraPixel camera in the back with BSI, f/2.0, 1/3-inch sensor, no optical image stabilization, with several different levels of flash intensity and 2µm pixel size;the front is 1.6MP, which utilizes BSI as well. ImageChip 2 is on board, as is Zoe, slow-mo video capture and Video Highlights.

Under the hood, a 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 is running the show with 1GB of RAM (compared to a quad-core Snapdragon 600 and 2GB RAM in the One), a 16GB of non-expandable storage, and the battery is 1,800mAh — there’s also no NFC in this smaller model.

“The HTC One mini embodies everything that makes the HTC One a success on a smaller but equally eye-catching scale,” said Peter Chou, chief executive of HTC.

HTC aims to roll out the One mini around the world starting in August. Two colorways will be available at launch, Glacial Silver and Stealth Black.
