NOLCOM, Partners Provide Aid To Zambales Fisherfolks Affected By WPS Dispute

Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) and partner non-governmental organizations recently provided aid to fisherfolks in Zambales that are currently affected by the territorial dispute in the West Philippine Sea.

“The aid includes rings, life vests, search lights (water proof and floats), Philippine Flag for the fishing boats, and first aid which are essential in their daily labor in the sea,” NOLCOM said in a press statement.

Moreover, the group also distributed gifts to about 470 in-school and out-of-school youngsters.

“We also briefed the fisherfolks on the government’s current stand on the dispute and have asked for their support to it,” NOLCOM added. (CLJD/MJLS-PIA 3)
