BestFest Brings Manila Bands to Cebu
Shoplifter’s United, the production company founded by Ahmad Tanji, together with the art – and – music collective ‘Artist Ko’ brings to Cebu five of the up and coming bands from Manila on a two day event called BestFest.
The two-day event will surely be a big one as BestFest will feature Manila bands – The Strangeness, Ciudad, Slow Hello, We Are Imaginary, and Read Between the Lions.
The Strangeness and We Are Imaginary were among the bands that won the Jack Daniel’s On Stage campaign while Ciudad’s fourth album, “Bring Your Friends” was one of 2008’s best release.
Then you have got Slow Hello who has just released their positively reviewed debut record, “Audio Baby” and Read Between The Lions, whose forthcoming EP will be produced by no other than Sandwich’s Raimund Marasigan and Mong Alacaraz.
Of course Cebu’s bands won’t be left behind as Deanery, Happy Days and Sunday Sunday will also grace the event.
The two-day event will be held on June 20 at Handuraw Pizza Gorordo and June 21 at The Outpost Restobar.
The event has been brought to us by Radio Republic, DIG Radio and SONIC BOOM Philippines. Entrance is free.
