PH Remains in Third Spot in Hanoi 2022 SEA Games Medal Tally

The Philippines remains in third place in the Hanoi 2022 Southeast Asian Games, winning 152 total medals.

The country won 38 gold medals, 49 silver medals, and 65 bronze medals as of May 18, 2022.

Yesterday, May 18, the country’s representatives for the Women’s League of Legends: Wild Rift (mobile), Grindsky Eris eSports, won gold against Singapore with a 3-0 sweep in the finals of the event.

Meanwhile, Kayla Richardson won gold in the Women’s 100m dash with 11.60 seconds.

The country’s representatives for taekwondo, Kirstie Alora, Baby Jessica Canabal, and Dave Cea, also won three silver medals.

4x100m Women’s Medley Relay Squad, Jasmine Alkhaldi, Desirey Mangaoang, Chloe Isleta, and Miranda Renner won silver.

Richard Gonzales and Russel Misal won a silver medal in the Men’s Doubles Table Tennis event.

The country’s representatives bagged medals in the wrestling event in the 2022 SEA Games.

Noemi Tener, Minalyn Foy-os, and Jiah Pingot won silver in their respective weight categories in the Women’s Freestyle Wrestling event.

Meanwhile, Grace Loberanes also won the bronze in the Women’s Freestyle Wrestling event.

Jenelyn Olsim, who represented the country in the Women’s Vovinam 55kg event, won bronze — this is the country’s first participation in the said event.

The country’s representative for the Women’s 4x400m Relay team, Bernalyn Bejoy, Robyn Brown, Eloiza Luzon-Medina, and Maureen Schrijvers, won a bronze medal for the country.

Meanwhile, Evalyn Palabrica won the bronze medal in the Women’s Javelin Throw event.

John Vasquez and Rebecca Torres both won bronze in the Karate Individual Kata event.

Jayson Macaalay Karate Men’s 60kg Kumite representative and Jamie Christine Lim for Karate Women’s 61kg Kumite event both won bronze in tournament.

The legend Efren “Bata” Reyes and Francisco Dela Cruz both won bronze in the Billiards Men’s 1-Cushion Carom Singles.

The country’s representatives for Fencing Women’s Sabre Team and Fencing Men’s Foil Team also won 2 bronze in the tournament.

Meanwhile, the country’s Women’s Team for Golf, Lois Kaye Go, Rianne Malixi, and Maria Rafaela Singson, won bronze. (ASC)
