DITO Telecom to Start VisMin Operations on March 8

DITO Telecommunity will start its Visayas and Mindanao network operations on March 8, 2021. DITO is the 3rd telecom company in the country aside from Smart and Globe.

According to DITO’s official statement, their commercial launch will be available in Metro Cebu and Metro Davao as of the moment.

For Metro Cebu, these cities and municipalities will be one of the first to get a hand on DITO’s network services:

• Cebu City
• Mandaue City
• Carcar City
• Talisay City
• Consolacion
• Danao
• Liloan
• Minglanilla
• Naga
• San Fernando

Meanwhile for Metro Davao:

• Davao City
• Tagum City
• Panabo
• Digos
• Carmen

DITO recently signed an interconnection deal with PLDT for the construction of a transmission facility that will serve as a connection point for their subscribers.

DITO Telecommunity, formerly Mindanao Islamic Telephone Company (MISLATEL), is a consortium of Udenna Corporation. In 1998, the establishment of DITO was enacted into legislation allowing the construction, franchising, installation and establishment of its network throughout the Philippines. (MLC)
