Colds and flu are common in this rainy season, but with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it is even more important to prevent ourselves from getting sick.

So, here are some tips that will help you prevent colds and flu during this rainy season:

1. Get more vitamin C
Vitamin C is widely known to help the immune system become strong against common colds and flu. There are a variety of fruits and vegetables high in vitamin C, such as oranges and broccoli. You could also buy over the counter vitamin C tablets at the pharmacy.

2. Eat a well-balanced diet
It is common knowledge that having a well-balanced diet can make the body healthy. Eating healthy could increase your immunity against diseases.

3. Sleep early and have enough rest
Having enough rest could help your body recuperate. So sleep for about seven to nine hours to get that good rest. Also, having enough rest could reduce stress.

4. Keep warm and dry
Keep warm and dry during this rainy season. One of the reasons why colds and flu are common during these times is because of the sudden changes in your body temperature.

5. If outside, bring protection from rain
