2 Local Triathlon Events, National Duathlon Set in Cebu

Two local triathlon events and a national duathlon race are set for Cebu’s triathletes later this year.

The 2015 National Duathlon Championships (NDC) will be staged on Sept. 12 to 13 at the South Road Properties in Cebu City.

The NDC, organized by Triathlon Association of the Philippines (Trap), found a new home in Cebu after years of staging it in Subic.

The triathlon competition starts in the southern part of Cebu—the Hunat Sugbo Triathlon Goes to Argao 2 on Sept. 20.

Triathlon action will then swing to the northern part of Cebu as the Cornerstone Group stages the San Remigio Triathlon 8080 on Nov. 14.

The NDC will have the standard distance for elite and age group divisions consisting of a 10-kilometer run 1, 40K bike and 5K run 2.

There will also be a sprint distance for juniors and age groupers and a super tri kids event.
