2 Dead in Buy-Bust Turned Shoot-Out

Two are dead after a buy-bust operation turns into a bloody shootout on Wednesday in Brgy. Prenza, Balamban, Cebu, January 30, 2019.

Operatives from PDEA Regional Office 7 and Balamban Municipal Police Station got into a fire fight after the suspects fired at the operatives in a buy-bust operation in the area.

The police identified the suspects as Don Santiago also known as “Dondon” and Quazar Quiachon also known as “Cocong”.

Both Santiago and Quiachon sustained gunshot wounds that led to their demise.

Recovered in the operation were two packs of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as ‘shabu’. It had a estimated weight of 2.1 kilograms with a Dangerous Drugs board value of P14,200,000.

Two .45 caliber pistols that were said to be used by the suspects in the shootout were also recovered in the scene. (ASC)
