103rd Malasakit Center in PH Opens in Carcar City

The 103rd Malasakit Center in the country was formally inaugurated and opened by Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go at the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Carcar City yesterday.

The newest Malasakit Center is now the 6th in Cebu.

“Para di na sila kinahanglan nga mubyahe sa Cebu. Kung kinahanglan ug tabang diri sa Carcar pwede na sila diri sa Carcar pwede na sila sa Talisay kay laliman ka muadto pa silag Cebu pleti napod sila that is 46 kilometers away. Kung kaya man tabangan sa provincial hospital naa na ang upat ka ahensya diha, PHILHEALTH, PCSO, DOH, DSWD,” the Senator said.

164 frontliners and 88 patients received assistance from Go including facemasks, faceshields, vitamins, packed meals and grocery packs.

“Dili mi mu undang pag abli sa Malasakit Center basta makatabang sa atong mga kaigsoonang pobre,” Go added.

After the inauguration Go then went to the Carcar City Public Market to extend his assistance to 2031 individuals consist of habal habal drivers, delicacy vendors and TODA.

The mentioned benificaries also received facemasks, faceshields, vitamins, packed meals and grocery.

Meanwhile, the benificaries will also receive cash assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). (MLC)
