It’s summer time! Time has come to show off your skin to the sun. Anxious about your skin? Well, here are some foods that would help you achieve a young, fresh and fabulous skin this special summer season!

Chocolates! Who wouldn’t love to eat chocolates? Well, for all chocolate lovers, this one’s for you. Despite the myths that it causes acne, chocolates have been proven to help in achieving a gorgeous skin due to its capacity to increase flavanol intake which translates to a favorable great skin.

Though this could be exciting, eating chocolates is still advised to be taken in moderation.

Fruits are also among the best foods that would help in achieving great skin. Specifically, purple and blue fruits such as plums, blackberries and blueberries are best for the skin due to its richness in antioxidants which fight free radical damage.

Today, free radicals cannot be easily avoided due to the uncontrollable presence of chemicals in our environment. Thus, taking necessary foods are pretty much essential.

On your way to your favorite destinations, you can bring snacks with you to make the summer escapade good and fun! And, sunflower seeds can be a perfect treat for you! Aside from it is good to eat, it also gives you Vitamin E to unleash and protect your beautiful skin from the causing damage of the sun.

Aside from having a good portable snack, you also have a well-protected skin for summer for a plus!

One famous and best-selling product in several restaurants is the tasty potato fries. But don’t you know that potatoes, especially sweet potatoes, are also great for the skin? Sweet potatoes are high in Vitamins A and C, which are very much essential for a glowing and healthy skin.

Vitamin C from sweet potatoes increases the production of collagen which translates to a smooth and supple skin. On the other hand, Vitamin A is also an antioxidant that fights free radical damage and prevents skin cancer, as well. This summer you can always include sweet potatoes in your picnic bags and baskets. Aside from the fact that sweet potatoes are delicious to eat, they are also good, and advised to be part of your daily healthy diet.

How about salads and sandwiches? Hmmm that’s yummy! In making your salads and sandwiches, make sure to include ample amount of tomatoes to have a healthier effect in your skin. As tomatoes are excellent source of antioxidants – lycopene, it would boost your skin health for a blooming, younger and healthier skin this perfect season. Also, cooked tomatoes have more lycopene content, so pizzas and marinara pastas with more tomato sauce are good too.

Last but not the least in my list is the all-time favorite- yogurt. Some says that yogurts are good because it helps in proper digestion.

But don’t you know that yogurts are also great for your skin?

While the above-mentioned foods keep your skin glowing, healthier and fairer, this one helps you keep your skin firm—which helps fight the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Don’t choose the fruity versions though, because they’re already packed with sugar. Rather, choose the plain yogurt and add fresh fruits to it (might be your favorite fruits) to make it more delicious.

Who says having great skin entails boring regimens and lots of unpleasant don’ts? You can just choose the right foods—delicious yet great for the skin, to be totally fabulous for this summer season.
