This sets a milestone for the company, who has been through different tests and trials, in operating their restaurants from humble beginning with 10 tables in its first outlet to its successes in opening multiple branches in Cebu and other key cities in Visayas and Mindanao.

“We take care of employees as we take care of the restaurants,” remarks  Mrs. Julita Urbina, Cafe Laguna founder and Laguna Group of Companies (LGC) Chairman remarked.

The “Kitchen Queen” recalls its fond beginning when she only had two cooks working for her in the first outlet. One was a driver and the other was her laundry woman. That was the time when no culinary schools existed yet in Cebu. Now the restaurant is continuously honing skills of its employees ranging from kitchen and catering operations, to food and beverage service.

“Honoring our employees is a testament not only of our achievement as a restaurant business. It is also our way of recognizing these exemplary individuals who have been associated with us in Café Laguna through the years,” Urbina added.

“We will continue to recognize excellent performance and loyalty. We will always be indebted to the contribution of our employees to our continued success.  Sila ang totoong BIDA ng #bentesingko. ” shares Chef Raki Urbina, LGC’s Corporate Chef.
