Tabuelan Farmers Receive Tractors from DAR Cebu
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Cebu turned over 35 HP tractors worth P1,052,065 to the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association in Bongon, Tabuelan, Cebu.
DAR Cebu Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Antonio A. Del Socorro said the Farm Machinery was provided under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development Support Program.
The Bongon Farmers Association of Tabuelan or BOFAT was included among the qualified recipients of the farm machineries identified nationwide, Socorro added.
The support program aims to improve the quality of life of the farmers as this can help their needs in terms of farm productivity and can also serve as an added service to their association.
The earnings also can be used as business asset of the association and for the maintenance of the tractor.
Gracing the ceremonial turnover ceremony was Tabuelan Mayor Rex Gerona with DAR Cebu officials, PARPO II Antonio A. Del Socorro, PARPO I Varinia B. Fabillar, MARPO Jennett R. Oporto, and barangay officials. (hfg with reports from DAR Cebu)
