The United States Embassy will hold its second annual EducationUSA Fair at the Radisson Blu Hotel here on February 28.

EducationUSA adviser Princess Grace Wooden said Thursday representatives of 35 US colleges and universities will arrive for the fair, where they will meet with Filipino students in the Visayas and Mindanao wanting to study in the US.

“We are bringing in school representatives from the States as we want to make applying to a US college or university easier for prospective Filipino students,” Wooden said.

EducationUSA, she said, is a network of advisers offering information, orientation, and guidance to students searching for the right college institution in the US that fits their educational needs.

EducationUSA also conducts forums, seminars, and workshops for parents, school administrators, and guidance counselors.

“We conduct workshops, especially for guidance counselors as we aim to empower them so they will be able to assess their students and advise them on their plan to study overseas,” Wooden said.

The EducationUSA Fair is open to the public, but Wooden advised interested students to pre-register online at EducationUSA.Philippines on Facebook or at EducationUSA_PH on Twitter to avoid the long queue come fair day on February 28.

An EducationUSA Fair is also slated to be held at the Shangri-La at the Fort in Taguig City on March 1.

Wooden said they also plan to bring the fair to Mindanao starting next year.

For more information and inquiries, Wooden said interested parties may visit their sites online or email them at EducationUSA.Philippines@gmail.com. (PNA)
