7 Arrested in Buy-Bust Ops in Lapu-Lapu City
Multiple buy-bust operations were conducted in Brgy. Punta Engaño and Brgy. Mactan in Lapu-Lapu City on Tuesday, January 29, 2018.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 7 with Lapu-Lapu City Police conducted the buy-bust operation and arrested 7 individuals.
The buy-bust operations were commenced around 6:30 pm specifically in Brgy. Punta Engaño and led to the arrest of Arturo M. Mahusay, Arnulfo Pagobo Daño Jr., William H. Pañares, Nicko T. Costura, and Arnold C. Sederiña.
Recovered from the operations were 36 packs of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 1.09 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P13,000.
Around 7 pm, another separate buy-bust was conducted in Brgy. Mactan in the said city. The targets of the operation: Stephen Pinote Aying and Roger A. Paquibot were successfully arrested yielding 11 packs of suspected shabu weighing 32.5 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P221,000.
A total of P234,000 worth of shabu with a estimated total weight of 33.6 grams were recovered from the suspects.
Suspected will face charges in violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Board of 2002. (ASC)
