Fire Razes Houses in Duljo Again
18 houses were affected in another fire incident on January 5, 2019 in Brgy. Duljo-Fatima just a few days after a major fire occurred at the same barangay on Christmas morning which took a child’s life.
Around 6 in the afternoon a fire alarm was received by the Cebu City Fire Department prompting available units to be dispatched.
The second alarm was raised at around 6:15 pm and finally raised to third alarm around 6:57 pm.
The fire was put under control around 6:57 pm and was finally put out around 9:16 pm.
Head of the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Nagiel Bañacia said in a Facebook post that 32 families with 128 individuals were affected in the said fire.
In the initial investigation, the fire is said to have started from the house of Benjamin Lopes.
The Cebu City Fire Department pegged the damage of the fire to be P500,000. (ASC)
