CPPO Nets 167 People, P1.3-M Worth of Drugs Nabbed
167 persons were arrested and over a million peso worth of drugs was nabbed in the Synchronized Enhanced Managing Police Operations (SEMPO) of the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO).
The two-day SEMPO was participated by different police stations in Cebu Province, resulting in the arrest of three of the most wanted personalities in Carcar, Toledo and Danao.
The operation yielded 202 grams of suspected shabu with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P1.3 million and 87 unlicensed firearms.
The SEMPO intensified the dismantlement of illegal gambling and illegal fishing in the province, that led to the halt of nine gambling operations and arrest three suspects for illegal fishing.
CPPO Chief PSSUPT Manuel Abrugena said that they will continue to combat illegal activities to ensure that Cebu will be a safer and peaceful. (Aljun S. Cainghog)
