PRC Reminds Professionals to Renew ID Cards to Avoid Penalty

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is reminding professionals to renew their PRC identification card at any of its offices or during its scheduled mobile outreach services to avoid applicable penalties to be incurred for late renewal.

Juanita Domogen, regional coordinator of PRC for Region I, said professionals may renew their ID cards at the PRC regional office in Carmay East, Rosales, Pangasinan from Monday to Friday, except holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or at PRC offices in Robinsons Place in Calasiao, Pangasinan and San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“PRC will also conduct a series of mobile outreach services in Ilocos Region provinces next month to deliver its services, such as renewal of professional ID card, closer to professionals for their comfort and convenience, saving them from cost of travel and other related expenses,” Domogen told the Philippine Information Agency.

She said mobile outreach services will be conducted at the Provincial Capitol Conference Room in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur on Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Candon City Hall Lobby in Candon City, Ilocos Sur on Dec. 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and CB Mall (second level) in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan on Dec. 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Professionals are likewise informed that in the absence of the required Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units, they can still renew their ID card provided that they will sign the undertaking portion of the renewal form pursuant to Commission Resolution No. 2017-10 stating the Guidelines and Procedures in the Implementation of Republic Act (R.A.) No. 10912 or the CPD Act of 2016,” she added.

Domogen said advance renewal of ID card is accepted exactly one year from the date of birth of the professional.

To schedule an appointment to renew their ID card, a professional must log on to online.prc.gov.ph or www.prc.gov.ph, follow the steps and procedures, and go to selected PRC Office on appointment date.
