P5.5-M Vet Tools, Logistics for LGUs Distributed
The Cebu Provincial Government distributed over P5.5 million worth of various veterinary equipment and logistics to the different towns and cities in the Province on Monday, Nov. 19.
This effort was made possible through the initiative of the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) headed by Dr. Mary Rose Vincoy.
The items distributed included artificial insemination equipment, liquid nitrogen-filled baby tanks, vaccine refrigerator, slatted dehairing table, stainless hog gambrels, stainless steel hook, digital weighing scale, viscera inspection tables and hanging scales.
Provincial Board (PB) Members Christopher Baricuatro and Yolanda Daan and Provincial General Services Officer Jone Siegfred Sepe attended the activity held at the Capitol’s Dome Area.
Veterinarians, representatives and some mayors from the different local government units (LGUs) received the veterinary equipment from the Capitol officials during the distribution ceremony.
In his speech, Baricuatro assured the local executives that the Capitol will continue to provide them assistance for their constituents.
“Hinaot unta makatabang ni para sa inyong beterinaryo,” he said.
Daan was thankful that the towns and cities in her district were among the beneficiaries.
“Magamit ni sa LGU aron makapalambo sa ilang hayupan,” she said.
Alegria Mayor Verna Magallon thanked the PVO for the assistance the Capitol has extended to LGUs.
Magallon said her town has been the recipient of the projects of Gov. Hilario Davide III and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale.
In her closing remarks, Vincoy announced that there will be another slaughterhouse equipment that will be given to the LGUs.
“Naa tay laing ipanghatag nga slaugtherhouse equipment. Paabot lang mo,” she said.
