Couple Caught with P500k Worth of Shabu in Mambaling
P500k worth of suspected drugs from live-in partners was yielded in a buy-bust operation in Sitio Puntod, Brgy. Mambaling, Cebu City on October 8, 2018.
Police Station 11-Mambaling Police identified the two suspects as Jennifer Mijares also known as “In-in”, 42; and Noel Gomez, 47; both residents of the area.
At around 9:45 in the evening, Police Chief Inspector Randy Cabelles led the buy-bust operation at the house of the Mijares. Mijares sold the shabu to an undercover officer and then they proceeded to arrest her.
Meanwhile, Gomez who was also in the house was also caught holding a plastic canister that was said to contain two plastic packs of suspected shabu.
The suspects yielded 50 grams of suspected shabu with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P590,000.
Months before Mijares’ arrest, her daughter Divine Mijares was also caught with P1 million worth of shabu on September 2018.
Both live-in partners are detained and will face charges in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Aljun S. Cainghog)
