PLDT SME Nation Expands Partnership, Paves Way for More Connected Visayas

PLDT Enterprise, business-to-business (B2B) arm of the country’s leading information and communication technology (ICT) and digital services provider—through its small and medium business group, PLDT Smart Enterprise (SME) Nation—continues to drive towards a more connected Philippines in the expansion of its partnership with regional cable and internet provider Fil-Products Service Television Inc. (FPSTI).

As one of Tacloban’s top cable TV and broadband providers, FPTSI has sought to expand its services to neighboring districts and cities.

Through PLDT SME Nation bandwidth and connectivity solutions and services, FPSTI will be able to seamlessly deliver better and more enhanced services to their ever-growing customer base.

“We have always focused on innovation to provide strong digital infrastructures to ensure that our customers are always connected. With PLDT’s excellent connectivity services, our customers can access the internet with the same quality as those who live in the metro,” FPSTI President Nonito Limchua.

Likewise, PLDT SME Nation continues to place focus on extending the reach of its services to regions outside major metropolitan districts to enable holistic growth and development for the nation.

“As a native of Ormoc, this partnership has a very special place in my heart. I watched the region of Leyte—Tacloban included—rise to become one of Visayas’ fastest-emerging economies, despite the challenges Typhoon Haiyan brought with it a few years ago.

Watching this city recover and retain that momentum is such a joy and a privilege—not just to me personally, but to all of us at PLDT,” said FVP and Head of PLDT SME Nation Mitch Locsin.

“We envision and work towards a more connected, resilient and empowered Philippines. Today we commit to continuously provide for the needs of Tacloban’s businesses and entrepreneurs so as to sustain its upward trajectory,” Locsin added.

Assistant Vice President & Head of Corporate Relationship Management for PLDT SME Nation Jimmy Chua further added to Locsin’s sentiments, saying, “These basic connectivity requirements are just the beginning of our provision of services for FTSPI. As technology continues to evolve, we will enable FTSPI with even more advanced solutions so that they can stay at the forefront of cutting-edge service delivery.” (JKM with report from PLDT)
