SSS Agoo Hailed National Quality Workplace Champion Twice in a Row

AGOO, La Union, September 20 (PIA) — The Social Security System (SSS) Agoo Branch received the 2018 National Quality Workplace Achiever Award (Small Branch Category) as champion for the second time, and bested 104 other SSS branches in the country.

In 2017, SSS Agoo also received the same distinction in its second year of operation as an SSS small branch.

According to Branch Head Roderick Anrada, there are major winning factors that led their office to the recognition.

“These include achievement of 100 percent customer satisfaction rating from 2016 to 2018 and 0 percent non-conforming index for ISO-Quality Management System,” Andrada told the Philippine Information Agency.

He added that such achievements inspire them to even strive harder to continuously provide quality service to their members.

SSS Agoo has introduced several best innovations like the New Registrant’s Kit for self-employed, employed members, and likewise for employers for them to be fully aware of their benefits and obligations as members of the SSS.

Moreover, another advantage to their winning is SSS Agoo’s Best Supervisor National Finalist Arvi Jonathan Resultay who developed the Individual Member Accounts Monitoring System and monitoring tool for e-R3 and web registration that significantly contributed to the branch’s achievement of 36.22 percent increase in collections.

Another innovation includes the “Next Please” placard to facilitate calling of clients, guideline for “Lost and Found” items at the branch, and provision of diaper-changing bed at the Infant Feeding Room.

In terms of employee relations, the branch also has an Employees’ Wall of Fame that enables all staff to aspire for excellent performance.

The branch also observes the Quality Workplace Pillars (QWP) which they call 5S plus SSS which means “Sort, Systematic, Sweep, Standardize, Self-discipline, Safety, Security and Satisfaction of customer”.

With the initiative of SSS Agoo’s QWP Champion Cristina Ramirez, 5S cleaning kits containing magic sponge, cleaning brush, rag and rubbing alcohol are provided to each employee.

“Perhaps our greatest contribution to the System is being a Center for Excellence, where SSS officials, branch heads and employees converge to our office to benchmark on quality workplace and quality service,” said Andrada.

“With this, SSS Agoo has proven that our branch truly delivers. Sulit ang serbisyong mula sa amin. Agoo naglaing. (The offered services are all worth it. Agoo branch is indeed the best),” he added.

SSS Agoo branch received a certificate of recognition and a cash prize of P40,000 during the culminating program of SSS’ 61st Anniversary with the theme Serbisyong Sulit na Sulit (SSS).

Meanwhile, SSS branches in Mati City, Davao Oriental and Pasig-Rosario were awarded as 1st runner up and 2nd runner up, respectively. (JNPD/MEGRP/PIA-1)
