No More Illegal Gambling in Six Towns

The Regional Intelligence Division (RID) 7 of the Regional Police Office 7 has declared six towns of Cebu province free from illegal gambling.

RID7 chief Supt. Paul Labra named towns of Alcoy, Boljoon, San Franciso, Pilar, Poro and Tudela as free from illegal gambling activities as of their July 2 assessment. Labra said they conducted a series of validations on Cebu’s 44 towns and only six were found to be free of illegal gambling activities.

In Talisay City, meanwhile, the previous Sangguniang Panglungsod would award barangays which had completely eradicated illegal gambling particularly the video karera. In the past years, only a few of the city’s 22 barangays had received the award.
