SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm “KARDING” {YAGI} was estimated based on all available data at 1,150 km East of Basco, Batanes (22.3°N, 132.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/hr near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/hr. It is moving North- Northwest at 20 km/hr. Southwest Monsoon is affecting the whole country.
FORECAST: Western Visayas, Palawan and Occidental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms due to Southwest monsoon.
Strong to gale force winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over Palawan and Occidental Mindoro with rough to very rough seas. Moderate to strong winds from the Southwest to West will prevail over Visayas with moderate to rough seas.
