5 Houses Burned in Guadalupe
A fire set ablaze 5 houses in Guadalupe, Cebu CIty on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
At 7:02 pm a fire alarm at V. Rama corner Bacayo St., Guadalupe, Cebu City was received by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) 7 which was raised to a second alarm at 7:09 pm, urging other fire departments to help in putting out the fire.
The fire was declared under control at 7:20 in the evening.
According to Cebu City Fire Marshall Nelson Ababon, the fire said to have originated at the house of Juliet Casquejo.
The houses of Juliet Casquejo, Boy Cabusas, Mildred Paculanang, Evangeline Gimena and Feliciana Mabatid were totally burned.
The estimated cost of damage of the fire is pegged to be P75,000.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

A fire also set blazed a house in Sitio Larima, Mambaling, Cebu CIty on August 8, 2018.
According to Nagiel Bañacia, head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council, the fire is said to have started by an unattended candle.
The cost of damage of the fire is estimated to be P20,000. (ASC)
