Grand Opening Salvo to Signal Start of Cebu Business Month 2018

A star-studded Grand Opening Salvo on June 1 will mark the first day of the Cebu Business Month (CBM) 2018 at the Ayala Terraces.

Hosted by Cebu Holdings Inc. (CHI) and Ayala Center Cebu, the Salvo will feature celebrity guest Filipina-French actress, TV host, and model SolennHeussaff.

Salvo guests can also expect production numbers from the Loboc Ambassador Youth Band, an acclaimed group of talented young students and residents of Loboc, Bohol trained in notes reading and instrumentation, and Star System Dance Troupe, a group of elite dance performers engaged in an athletic training program based on the discipline of sports acrobatics.

Doce Pares Eskrima group will showcase the Filipino martial art of stick fighting, other weapons, and hand-to-hand combat as one of the ways of promoting sports tourism in Cebu, while award-winning fashion designer MalaykaYamas will display her creations of Trash to Class Fashion Innovation.

Aligned with the theme, “Innovate Cebu”, the Grand Opening Salvo will signal the start of the series of activities lined up for this year’s CBM, the annual flagship project of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).

The Salvo, which is chaired this year by Elisa Torres, president of Cebu Manila Homes Realty, also aims to promote the image of various industry players for Cebuanos and guests to know, learn, and appreciate, thereby increasing opportunities for investment in the province.

Other personalities who will grace the program of the Salvo are Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III, Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña, CHI President AnicetoBisnar Jr., CCCI President Antonio Chiu who is also the honorary consul of the Slovak Republic, and CBM 2018 Overall Chairman Benedict Que.

One of the highlights of the Salvo is the opening of the One Town, One Product exhibit in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry on June 1 at the Ayala Activity Center. It will run for six days until June 6. (PR)
