President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will lead today’s ground breaking ceremony of a new housing project for the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The housing village called Vista Alegre Homes in Barangay Dos Hermanas, will build an initial 1,000 duplex-type housing units which will sit on a 15-hectare property for the PNP and AFP personnel in Negros Occidental.
The National Housing Authority (NHA)-led program is the fifth groundbreaking event in the country.
The President is expected to deliver a speech after a Walking Briefing of the static display of the project by NHA General Manager Marcelino Escalada Jr. and the time capsule laying onsite.
Expected to attend the ceremony are Escalada, Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) chairperson Eduardo del Rosario, Governor Alfredo G. Marañon Jr., Negros Occidental Third District representative Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, and Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares. (JSC/LML/PIA-Negros Occidental)
