Joavan Faces Another Case

The controversial Joavan Fernandez is set to face another case after the Talisay City Prosecutor’s Office indicted him of the frustrated murder for last April’s incident.
Talisay City Assistant Prosecutor Jenelyn Forrosuelo found grounds to indict the son of outgoing Talisay City Mayor Socrates Fernandez for the shooting of Eduardo Largo, 36, in a car shop along the Cebu South Coastal Road in Barangay San Isidro last April 12. Largo sustained three gunshot wounds in his right arm and leg.

The case is now under the Regional Trial Court branch 12 of Judge Stella Alma Singco. Singco has also set the bail of P200,000 for Joavan’s temporary release. But because of his illegal possession of explosives, he remains detained at the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center.
