Visayas Weather Forecast: October 17, 2017

Synopsis: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm PAOLO was estimated based on all available data at 885 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (11.0N, 133.8E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 13 km/h. Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 165 km West of Coron, Palawan (12.0N, 118.7E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

FORECAST:

Visayas and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Occidental Mindoro will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to Northwest will prevail over Palawan, Occidental Mindoro and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
