ITCZ Brings Rains Over Parts of Mindanao, Visayas Friday
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting southern Mindanao will cause rains over some parts of the island and the Visayas on Friday, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Friday) said.
In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms may prevail over Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, Negros Island and western Visayas.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, on the other hand, will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, it added.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds blowing from southwest to south will prevail over Palawan, and from southeast to south over the rest of the archipelago.
The country’s coastal waters will be slight to moderate, PAGASA said. (MCCA/PNA)
